Regular Meeting April 13, 2011

              The meeting was called to order at 7:30PM following a budget hearing for 2011-2012 year. Present were Mayor Mahoney, Trustee Rocque, VanDervoort and Carson, Trustee Kelts was absent. Also present were Clerk Koblensky, Treasurer Ryan, Attoney Varley, Craig Falcone, Chief Jason Rocque, Asst Chief Don Baldwin, John Fairclough, John and  Jackie Porchello.

               Trustee Rocque  moved to waive the minutes of the previous and the special meeting. Trustee Carson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

               Trustee Carson- I would like to purchase a tire swing for the 4^th Street Park in the amount of $3450.00.

               Trustee VanDervoort- the fire dept. answered 13 alarms this month along with there truck and equipment checks. The Museum is looking into buying a Button Fire Engine. The Canal clean-up is this Saturday April 16^th  from 9:00AM- 12:00PM a picnic lunch will follow at lock 2.   

               Trustee Rocque- Work has been done in the following areas: Lawn and leaf bags, street maint. Full report is available in the Village Office.                

               The Financial report for the month of April are as follows: Checking Acct.

130,734; Money Market Acct. 22,134; for a total fund balance of 152,868. Special project

fund balance 18,853; Unaudited Utilies 7,155; payrolls 6,499; Section 8, 27,309. The current abstract is 81,641.07.Tranferred $15,000 from the Money Market Acct. to the General fund Acct. to support expenditures approved at the March 9^th meeting. Tranferred 10.50 in spending authority from A3410.21 to A1325.4 to support payroll taxes on fire dept. support staff. Trustee VanDervoort moved to pay the bills upon the approval of the department heads and the board. Trustee Rocque second the motion, which passed unanimously.

               Trustee Rocque offered resolution#    adopt the budget for 2011-2012.Trustee VanDervoort offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

                 Trustee Rocque offered resolution#    vote to provide alternate residency requirements for ZBA members be a resident of Saratoga County. Trustee VanDervoort offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

               Trustee Rocque offered resolution#     to appoint Mary Harney to the planning board for a 5 year term. Trustee VanDervoort offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

               Trustee Rocque  offered resolution#     to appoint Terry Coloney  to the ZBA for a 5 year term.Trustee Carson offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

               Trustee Rocque  offered resolution#        authorizing the director of public words to get prices on repairs to the roads. Trustee VanDervoort offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

               Trustee Rocque  offered resolution#        authorizing Trustee Carson to purchase a tire swing for the 4^th street  park in the amount of $3450.00. Trustee VanDervoort  offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

                Trustee VanDervoort  offered  resolution#                       authorizing the Mayor to sign a contract with Chazen for the second phase of the Second Street, Streetscape project. Trustee Carson offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voter yes.                               

                             As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:05PM
