Regular Meeting April 9, 2012

              The meeting was called to order at 7:30PM following a budget hearing for 2012-2013 year, redefining the boundaries for Riverspark. Present were Mayor Mahoney, Trustee VanDervoort, Wichelns, Fairclough, and Carson. Also present were Clerk Koblensky, Treasurer Ryan VanDervoort, Attoney Varley, Craig Falcone, Chief Jason Rocque, Asst. Chief Brian Wright, Asst Chief Don Baldwin, Deputy Treasurer Lisa Ricci, many members of the Fire Dept. and their families attended this meeting to support the New Fire Chiefs. 

               Trustee VanDervoort moved to waive the minutes of the previous and the special meeting. Trustee Faireclough seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

                              Trustee VanDervoort- the fire dept. answered 9 alarms this month along with there truck and equipment checks. The Canal clean-up is this Saturday April 21^st   from 9:00AM- 12:00PM a picnic lunch will follow at lock 2. Museum will host a breakfast on 22^nd of April at the senior center on 3rd Street, the fire exhibit will open on 21^st  of April.   

               Trustee Wichelns- Plans for Canalfest are underway, Canalfest will be May 12, 2012. Venders, community groups, and entertainment are all set.

 Trustee Fairclough- Little League will have a tag day this weekend, also the Valley Cat will be in Town to help rebuild the field on April 13^th. Town and Village will be accepting applications for summer park program until the 13^th of April. Summer Child care program registration will be the 26^th of April from 6-7PM in the rear of the rescue squad, program runs from the 25^th of June until August 31^st $20 a day or $100 for the week.

 Trustee Carson - Work has been done in the following areas: Lawn and leaf bags, street maint,roadway cleanup, park equipment and patching.  Full report is available in the Village Office.               

               The Financial report for the month of April are as follows: Checking Acct. $143,532; Money Market Acct. $22,172; for a total fund balance of $165,705. Special project fund balance is $6,893; Unaudited Utilies $17,794; payroll $7,677; Section 8, $26,458. The current abstract is $31,005.32.  Increased spending authority A3410.4- Fire Dept. Contractual by $1600.00, receipt of insurance recovery check. Trustee VanDervoort moved to pay the bills upon the approval of the department heads and the board. Trustee Fairclough seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

           Mayor reports-  been working on FEMA worksheets, Streetscape reimbursement. The Village will have a recycling day on April 28^th 9-1.

               Trustee Carson offered resolution#    adopt the budget for 2012-2013.Trustee VanDervoort offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

                 Trustee VanDervoort offered resolution#   to appoint the new Fire Chiefs.        Trustee Fairclough offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

               Trustee VanDervoort offered resolution#     to appoint Rick Pucci to the planning board for a 5 year term. Trustee Carson offered the second. All Trustees and  Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

               Trustee VanDervoort offered resolution#     to appoint Terri Patton to the ZBA for a 5 year term. Trustee Carson offered the second.

All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

               Trustee Fairclough offered resolution# to change the boundaries of Riverspark.        Trustee VanDervoort offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

                Trustee VanDervoort  offered  resolution#     to increase the fire budget A3410.4 by $1600.00 All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.                               

                             As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55PM
