Special Meeting—June 23, 2003
Purpose of the meeting is to discuss the rate of pay for playground counselors.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor J. Bert Mahoney at 7:15PM after a brief delay, during which Jon Matson, local businessman, voiced his concerns over the slow cleanup of the fire-damaged property next door to his business on Broad Street. He was assured that the Board is monitoring the situation very carefully. All Trustees, Treasurer Gorham, Youth Council president Nancy Smith, and Clerk O’Brien were present. Also attending were Jon Matson and Jack Riegert. Trustee Pascucci moved that the meeting go into an executive session. Trustee Rocque seconded the motion, and all voted in favor. The executive session opened at 7:20 PM. and ended at 7:41PM. Trustee Pascucci offered a Resolution (# ) to keep the salaries agreed upon at the June 11 regular meeting. Trustee Kelts offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes. A request has been received to advance $1,500.00 toward the restoration of the Tug Boat Buffalo. This money will be returned when the $3,500.00 grant money is received from NY State. Trustee Rocque offered a Resolution (# ) to transfer $1,500.00 from the Contingent Acct.,A1990.4 to A7520.4 for this purpose. Trustee Kelts offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes. Trustee Rocque offered a Resolution to approve a special abstract in the amount of $8,475.05. The second was offered by Trustee Kelts.
