Regular Meeting July 8, 2009

 

          The meeting was called to order at 7:30PM. Present were Mayor Mahoney, Trustee Rocque, Kelts and VanDervoort. Clerk Koblensky, Treasure VanDervoort and

Attorney Varley were also present. Also attending were Chief Fairclough, Bob Lowther , Skip Moorse, Mr. Demarco, Jason Ackley, Marilyn Carson and Cheri Peaslee.

           Trustee Kelts moved to wavie the reading from the previous meeting. Trustee Rocque seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

             Trustee Pascucci reports- Mayor reports playground is up and running, everything is going great!

              Trustee VanDervoort reports- Fire dept. had 9 alarms this month along with regular truck and equiment checks. The fire dept will participate in the Hudson Mohawk parade. We are planning our annual Volunteers day.

             Trustee Rocque reports- Lawn and Leaf bag pickup, Street maintenance, Catch basin repair/replacement and Park maintenance. Full report available in the Village Office.

             Trustee Kelts reports- Three concerts in the park and plans for the sellout are underway.

               The financial report for the month of June are as follows: Checking Acct. $45,634; Money Market Acct. $102,367; for a total General fund balance of $148,001. Special projects fund balance $16,900; Unaudited Utilites $5,016; Payroll $8,196; Section 8, $24,872. The current abstract is $24,084.92. Funds Transferred $103,230 from the General Account to the money Market Account. Trustee Kelts moved to pay the bills upon the approval of the department heads and the board. Trustee Rocque seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

                Mayor Mahoney reports- we are meeting with the epa on Friday to discuss the poor condition of  Second Street. National Grid will be taking the poles on Broad and Second Street some with wires some with out, Time Warner Cable came promptly and removed the cable wires waiting on Verizon. Working to complete the Fire House Grant paper work dead line is this Friday at 5:00PM.

                  Trustee Kelts offered resolution #      authorizing a handicap sign at 36 Second Street. Trustee Rocque offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

                   Trustee Kelts offered resolution#       to hire Jason Ackley part time at $15.00 per hour to assist the Treasure. Trustee Rocque offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

                    Trustee Kelts offered resolution#      to adjust Michael Brazinski pay from $8.28 to $8.50 effective July 1st. Trustee Rocque offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

                     Trustee Kelts offered resolution#    authorizing a special meeting on July 15th at 7:30PM. Trustee VanDervoort offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

                      Trustee VanDervoort offered resolution#     authorizing Ken Varley to draw the bond to purchase the new fire truck. Trustee Rocque offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.
