Regular Meeting June 9, 2010

 

              The meeting was called to order at 7:30PM. Present were Mayor Mahoney, Trustee Kelts, Rocque, VanDervoort and Carson. Also present were Clerk Koblensky, Treasurer Ryan, Craig Falcon and Jim O’Brien.

               Trustee Kelts moved to waive the minutes of the previous and the special meeting. Trustee Rocque seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

               Trustee Carson- appoint the playground Counselors.

               Trustee VanDervoort- the fire dept. answered 13 alarms this month along with there truck and equipment checks. The New Fire Truck should arrive within the few weeks. Heritage Day, food venders, concert, parade. The fourth grade educational program was the best ever this year over 1200 students participated this year. New signs will be going up along the canal.

               Trustee Rocque- Work has been done in the following areas: Lawn and leaf bags, street maint, Towpath work. Full report is available in the Village Office.

               Trustee Kelts- village sellout Sept. 25th and 26th.  Concerts in the park are planned for this August 7,14,21.

               The Mayor reports-  The Broad Street repaving has been postponed for a few weeks, the Second Street, Street Scape project should go to bid very soon. Sidewalks have been replaced on 2nd, Hudson, 8th and Division Streets in the Village of Waterford as part of the sidewalk program .

               The Financial report for the month of May are as follows: Checking Acct. 75,242; Money Market Acct. 86,391; for a total fund balance of 161,633. Special project fund balance 15,777; Unaudited Utilies 5,348; payrolls 7,779; Section 8, 30,504. The current abstract is 54,851.16, the new abstract is 12,614.64. The special project abstract is 696.25. Trustee Kelts moved to pay the bills upon the approval of the department heads and the board. Trustee Rocque second the motion, which passed unanimously.

               Trustee Kelts offered resolution#    authorize the fire dept. to sell used piece of fire apparatus 1986, ford van for $1000.00. Trustee VanDervoort offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

               Trustee Kelts offered resolution#     to appoint the playground Counselors, for the Park Program, Kyle Williams director 11.00 per hour, Melissa Koblensky, Michael Hilton, Amanda Lee, Natalie Bova, Kathryn Cahenger and Michael Patrignani, all at 7.86 per hour. Trustee Rocque offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

 

               Trustee Kelts offered resolution#     to transfer 29,000 A3410.21 to the special projects fund new fire truck for payment on new truck. Trustee Rocque offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

 

               Trustee Kelts offered resolution#       accept new member Ken Smith to the ford hose fire dept. Trustee Rocque offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.

 

               Trustee Kelts offered resolution#       to change the Hud Acct. to Pioneer Savings Bank. Trustee Rocque offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted yes.
