Special Meeting—March 17, 2004

            The purpose of this meeting was to certify the results of the Village Election held on March 16, approve the payment for the election inspectors, and to conduct any other business which needs to come before the Village Board.

            Mayor Mahoney and all Trustees were present, as well as Clerk O’Brien and Treasurer Gorham.

            Clerk O’Brien gave the report of the recent election as follows:

            A total of 102 voters cast their ballots in the uncontested election.    J.Bert Mahoney received 80 votes; Raymond Rocque, 89 votes; Ben Kelts, 91 votes; Edward Pascucci, 84 votes; and Russell VanDervoort, 81 votes.  There were 2 write-in votes cast.

            Trustee Kelts offered the Resolution (#      ) to accept and certify the election results.  Trustee Rocque offered the second.  All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes.

            Trustee Rocque offered the Resolution (#      ) to pay the vouchers on the special abstract, which totals $1,575. Trustee Kelts offered the second.  All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes.

            Mayor Mahoney reported on the Admit Computer Service program which is being considered for purchase on the recommendation of  the treasurer and deputy treasurer.  This is the same system currently used by the Town of Waterford.  The board members were agreeable to going forward with the purchase.

            Mayor Mahoney reported that the gas station at 112 Broad St. is now open, in violation of the village zoning law.  He requested a Resolution (#      ) authorizing village attorney Kenneth Varley to commence an action in State Supreme Court against the owner for violation of the zoning law.  Trustee Kelts offered the resolution and Trustee Rocque offered the second.  All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes.

            The meeting was adjourned at 7:23 PM.
