Special Meeting—April 5, 2004
The purpose of this meeting is to swear in newly elected officials and make certain appointments for the coming term of office. Mayor Mahoney, Trustees Kelts, Rocque and VanDervoort were present. Trustee Pascucci was absent. Mayor Mahoney announced that he wished to make the following appointments: Nancy O’Brien, Village Clerk; Brenda Fletcher, Treasurer; Jim Gorham, Deputy Treasurer and Tax Collector; Craig Falcone, Director of Public Works; and the firm of Donahue, Sabo, Varley & Armstrong, Village Attorneys. Trustee Kelts seconded all of the appointments and all Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes. The Mayor stated that further appointments would be forthcoming at the regular monthly meeting on April 14, with the approval of the Board. All were in favor. The following committee assignments were made: Trustee Kelts--Festivals, concerts, Great Village Sell-out and garbage Trustee Pascucci—Parks, youth and insurance Trustee Rocque—Deputy Mayor and Fire Dept. liason Trustee VanDervoort—Streets and highways, Heritage Day, and special liason to the library and museum. Mayor Mahoney—Capital Projects and Veterans Affairs.
Trustee Rocque offered a Resolution (# ) to accept the bid from Lido Construction to install curbing, provided by the State, along the East side of 8th St. and on the southwest corner of 2nd and Division St. for $14,915. Trustee Kelts offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes. The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 PM and followed by a budget workshop.
