Special Meeting—July 21, 2004 The purpose of this meeting is to vote on an amendment to Local Law #4 and any other business which may come before the Board. The roll call showed Mayor Mahoney, Trustees Kelts, Rocque, and VanDervoort to be present; Trustee Pascucci was absent. Trustee Kelts offered Resolution # , which amends the formula for sidewalk repair costs to 50% each, property owner and Village. The second was offered by Trustee VanDervoort. Trustees Kelts and VanDervoort and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes. Trustee Rocque abstained from voting. Trustee Rocque offered Resolution # to have Niagara Mohawk install 8 additional street lights on Broad Street, between 7th and 6th Streets. Trustee Kelts offered the second. All Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes. Trustee Rocque offered Resolution # to accept a project quotation from Pakatar Landscaping Co., Inc. for installing metal edging around the “NEW YORK” letters on the slope in Knickerbocker Park. The project also includes removing sod, providing red tipple stone with weed barrier, weeding, trimming and mulching planter areas in the park. Total cost, which has been budgeted, will be $3,700. Trustee VanDervoort offered the second; all Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes. Trustee VanDervoort offered Resolution # to erect a fence around the basketball court, at a cost of no more than $2,500. Trustee Kelts offered the second; all Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes. The board also discussed laws regarding the inspection of commercial buildings and criteria for driveways, and considered a proposal for a spot grant application for the canal bikeway at Lock 2.
