Special Meeting—Sept. 5, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 2 PM,  with Mayor Mahoney, Trustee Kelts and Trustee Rocque in attendance, as well as deputy clerk Robin Koblensky.

Purpose of the meeting was a request for a noise ordinance variance and an additional street lighting project.

A request was read from Art Riley, Jr., manager, McGreivey’s restaurant, to extend the noise ordinance hours from 9PM until 12AM for the evening of Sept. 8, in order to host outdoor entertainment to coincide with Tugboat Roundup.  After discussion, Trustee Kelts moved to extend the noise ordinance only to 11PM.  Trustee Rocque seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.

Trustee Rocque moved to authorize Mayor Mahoney to sign a contract with Planert Utility for additional lighting on Broad St.  Trustee Kelts seconded the motion; both Trustees and Mayor Mahoney voted Yes.  The Board also approved payment of a special projects fund voucher to Planert Utilities in the amount of $13,874.25 for work already performed.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:10PM.

                                                                        Respectfully submitted,

                                                                        Robin Koblensky, Deputy Village Clerk
